Why won’t Cursor support students from outside the US.
I can’t see the point in limiting it only US students, especially when looking at for example GitHub who provide access to students through verifying their Student-ID.

Hey, please take a look at this thread.
In this thread it legit says that “There are no immediate plans to expand eligibility.“
It would be way more convenient if Cursor would let Students verify through their student ID.
@thomaschh we do that but at the moment we work on improvements of the student verification process and once we make sufficient progress there we will announce it publicly.
It’s been more than a month since that voting went public - any timeframe on when to integrate the results?
hi @Junxi at the moment we are working with SheerID on improvements of the process which can still take several weeks. Once we are ready to expand the program we will make a public announcement.

What about Github Student Developer status? I could provide this to confirm my student status for Cursor
We do not use GitHub Student Developer access. and thank you for your interest in our student program. At this time we are onboarding students with email address ending in .edu.
In the future we will expand the student program and will make an announcement once were are ready.
