if this is bug, better to report on Bug Report, since its need to reproduce such as

  • Version Cursor
  • Models use
  • Any related information

thus will help cursor team for debugging

Cursor version 2.4.21
For now, I am using the Auto/Ask mode.

I had this exact same issue yesterday.

I’ve had this a couple of times in the last 24 hours. I used to have this 6+ months ago an it was fixed. Auto mode.
