Why is the Linux version of Cursor so slow and buggy

Can we just have a Linux client that does respect human decency? It’s slow, laggy, it freezes a lot for no reasons and i tried it on various desktop environments, i always encounter those performances issues that makes Cursor unusable on Linux.

The Appimage just doesn’t do the trick at all.

I have the same Issues with the appimage. The client randomly freezes when just scrolling or typing, not even using the AI features.
I end up coding in vscode and limit cursoruse to AI.

and its a nightmare.
it crashes around every 30min
it freezes regularly and only sometimes catches itself again.

i am not doing anything intense just making a website with django

Same problem. Cursor keeps freezing in my Ubuntu. Doesn’t respond to keyboard or mouse clicks for for 3-10 seconds. Gets completely unusable if run for longer than an hour an especially with long chats. Support can’t help (just keep repeating the same thing: update to newer version, despite the fact that I’m always running the latest version). I don’t have such issues with my VSCode.

Same problem too.
