Hi Andrew, they are disabled? Settings→cursor settings. Or is there a shadow set somewhere?

This is all I know of

Under general settings

I had this same issue last week. It appeared on both VSCode and Cursor at the same time. After doing some research, it turns out it was an accessibility feature. I don’t recall specifically what the setting was, but it was related to accessibility, and I can’t find it again now in the settings. It was quite buried. Perhaps this helps at least knowing it was related to ‘accessibility’ and that it affected BOTH vscode and cursor at the same time. I do not recall doing anything to enable it, so I assumed it was related to an update. If I find the setting again, I’ll post it up.

It’s still not working… I disabled all the accessibility options related to the sound and restarted the IDE, but the bug is still there. It’s only been a day, but I’m already seriously annoyed, as I find it very difficult to work like this.
I’ve also disabled the “System Notifications” and “Completion Sound”, but the bug is persistent.

Has anyone managed to completely disable 100% the sound?

Hi @andrewh , any suggestion on how to proceed?

same issue hear. driving me nuts

it’s time to let me save you guys→_→

look at the right bottom corner of your cursor or vscode.

Thanks @ayqy and @MidnightOak. I’ve tried that solution, but it still doesn’t work.

I’ve also disabled all the single sources from the same menu, but the sound is still there and it’s dramatically annoying :exploding_head: .

@tavro setting this setting to 0 seems to work for me - cursor://settings/accessibility.signalOptions.volume

Thanks @techntrails , that works for me! :rocket:

cmd+shift+P → Help: List Signal Announcements
&
cmd+shift+P → Help: List Signal Sounds

I turned off all the items responsible for the Terminal

Thats working 100%
