How do to disable Cursor audio effects?

When double-clicking on a line of code, a (rather) obnoxious sound comes out of Cursor each time. How does one disable this?

Much appreciated!

This was brought up in another thread as well: How to disable audio sounds? - #4 by William

But the exact Cursor/VS Code settings was not identified. I do not receive this sound in VS Code itself as well.

In Cursor, press Command+Shift+P and search for Help: List Signal sounds.
You can disable the sounds there.

Did you manage to find a solution to this. Having the same issue.

Ultra Pro - Power user here. To the amazing team of this application and its design, I have one piece of feedback I hope doesn’t fall on deaf ears.

If the spawn of Satan had a signature sound, one designed to slowly drive a person to the brink of insanity. It would be your sound effect of dice in a wooden cup being shaken every 30 seconds.

Save us from this madness and disable sound effects on install.

absolutely true, this sound design is the worst thing ever. I get that weird double tick sound every 3 seconds. No idea why. No visual feedback to accommodate that sound. First time you’re annoyed. 10th time you just want to kill yourself.

Whoever designed this should maybe not be a designer.

There is also “editor.accessibilitySupport” setting in json config. BUT, it reverted to “on“ after each launch. Its fcking kills me.

Volume setting looks like a solution
