1.7.17: Cannot shift-click to extend selection region

Describe the Bug

In the chat window, I cannot select a bit of text, then scroll and shift click to extend the text. Shift-click does nada.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Nor does dragging off the window cause it to scroll, so you cannot select more than what you se on screen.
