When a cloud agent is triggered from the Slack integration, it automatically adds a hourglass reaction to the thread that triggered it. When it replies, it changes that reaction to a green checkmark reaction.
We created an automation for a customer support channel in Slack to act as a bot to answer customer questions and do initial bug investigations. However, when it adds the green checkmark reaction to the thread, it can give the wrong impression that the issue that is being discussed is resolved.
More broadly, reactions to threads could have other meanings for other people, or could trigger other automations (such as one that we use for Linear that automatically creates issues - though it is not using the checkmark emoji).
Would it be possible to either disable the reactions from the integration, or at least to be able to specify which emojis to use?
Huge plus one here - we use the white_check_mark emoji reaction to slack messages to keep track of what needs attention or not. We tried giving our cursor automation instructions to not add an emoji reaction, or use a different one - neither worked.
We share this workflow – is used to show that a thread has been “solved”.
We’re close to turning off Automations because we’re now worse at triaging our e.g. #sentry channel. Providing some way to change or remove the is very important to us.
Unfortunately, we had to turn off the automation as it was causing too much confusion with our users. Definitely looking for a resolution on this so we can enable it again.
