I’ve been trying to try the Cursor app for about a week now, but every time I try it, it gives me this error: Your request has been blocked as our system has detected suspicious activity from your account/ip address. If you believe this is a mistake, please contact us at [email protected] can sign in with google, github or oauth to avoid the suspicious activity checks.
I also tried logging in with a google account and github profile, I sent an e-mail 2 days ago when there was such a problem, I realized that it was solved today and I wanted to use the application again, but I started getting the same error again, I am also thinking of buying the pro version of the application, but the constant banning of my ip address makes me very uneasy, now I cannot even use the free trials that cursor has given me.
Hi in general, Pro accounts are exempted from nearly all suspicious activity checks. We get a lot of fraud & abuse (API abuse, free trial abuse, automated abuse etc.) from free/free-trial accounts and those have more aggressive checks to prevent abuse. I’ll investigate first thing tomorrow morning to see what system is triggering the blocks on your account.
To help out, have you used other free trial accounts on the same machine or IP?
No, I didn’t use different free accounts. I even bought your pro version today but I thought I was in a hurry. First I need to try the application, it blocks the account even there, I said, if it does the same in the pro version, and I wanted to continue trying the free version. I’ve been using the Cursor application for about 2-3 hours today, and while I was editing the code, it suddenly gave this error: Your request has been blocked as our system has detected suspicious activity from your account/ip address. If you believe this is a mistake, please contact us at [email protected]. You can sign in with google, github or oauth to avoid the suspicious activity checks.
