It would be an easy way to find out what’s new. Ideally in the future maybe show the change log in the same way as VS Code does on update as well, preferably with a toggle.

VS Code style makes sense for major releases.
I miss the link to the release notes.
For minor patch updates the ideal thing would be tooltip on the update notification to see the relevant info before updating, and without needing to leave Cursor.
It shouldn’t be hard to show something like:
0.48.4 - Image support for Gemini 2.5 Pro

I often see the ‘New Update Available’ popup even when there’s no corresponding entry on Changelog | Cursor - The AI Code Editor. It would be great to bring back the earlier feature where the popup included a direct link to the relevant changelog entry.
I regularly check your changelogs whenever the software updates, as they help me stay informed and keep learning about your new features.
