The list of agents can get hard to manage in all Cursor product surfaces. Would be helpful if there was a native Cursor tool call that could rename an agent i.e. the agent’s name field.
For example, we have agents that carry out a lifecycle (code, test, review, deploy, etc). If an agent could change its name, then we could reflect those states in the agent name (prefix, emoji, etc) so it’s easy to see what’s what as the agent does its work. This can be done manually through the UI, but not programmatically by the agent itself.
Another example would be that as an agent convo progresses, the title should reflect the main points/purpose, not just the first command used when the agent was created.
