Adding file or folder to the chat message adds to the chat

I am not really sure if its a bug but its a strange behavior, when I right click and asks to add a folder or a file to the chat but I am editing a message it doesnt add the file/folder to the message, but it really adds to the chat.

So I think a better approach would be

If you are editing a previous message, the file/folder is added to the message

if not, they are added to the chat

I can reproduce this in 2.4, and it definitely seems like unintended behavior. I’ll let the team know.

You should be able to get around this by typing @ into the message you’re editing and finding your file/folder that way.
