Completely ruined my workflow, the side pane is useless without the code diffs in real time :frowning:

What the â– â– â– â–  were you thinking? I watched a great video from only two months ago about how to use cursor and was excited to try out what I had learned, only to be immediately disappointed by some awful side-bar style tool like Copilot. Please put it back to how it was immediately.

You have the option to change the layout of the AI sidebar through the context menu, where you can either make it an editor, like any of your code windows, or the floating window that you may have seen in the video.

Let me know if you have any trouble with this!

Btw that wasn’t an f-bomb, it was much more tame! But no, maximising the chat window is not the issue. The problem is the removal of the side panel which lists the affected files and being able to flick through them there to preview what the changes would be. It just feels far more natural with the old UI.
It feels safer because it’s more like a preview, so you don’t worry that it’s going to butcher your code without warning. Almost everybody is telling you to bring this back. Surely you should listen to your users and not just act like one of those awful companies who think they know better than their users and just telling them to 5uck it up? I know the user isn’t always right, but people have presented many good arguments for bringing this back but the response is always just “maximise the side panel” :expressionless:
