This new version broke my work flow completely. I’m not even sure if I can come up with some alternative. Would be great if the core team chimes in and explains certain decisions that were made and why and if there are any alternative flows introduced.

Same here. Completely broke my flow and has almost rendered the software useless for me. The biggest value for me was the “Diff View” in composer. I was able to see the changes it was making compared the original. This served two purposes: 1) Better understanding my code; 2) Making sure Composer wasn’t breaking something in it’s proposed changes.
This feature is now gone and has slowed my production time by about 80%!

I will have to stop my subscription and switch to other IDEs if the previous Composer UI is not brought back in the next version. It’s the ONLY REASON why I use Cursor.
Hey, you should still be able to open Composer in a new, if that’s the feature you’re asking for.
Also, if you’re trying to see a full screen diff, you should still be able to do this by clicking “File Reference” in the Composer window when it’s showing you an inline diff to open the file and see the full diff in its editor.
However, if you’re referring to the original Composer window on its own, over the top of your editor, had the three panels, then unfortunately this is probably done for good, as it just wasn’t very flexible for the many ways people wanted to use Composer.
If there’s something specifically missing that you’d like to see though, do let us know, as it’s probably something others want too!
