I tried to file the incident via the ide→feedback. I sent many ‘agents not working’ messages there, but I’m not sure they’ve been received. I don’t see any incidents shown on the status page. And it’s still not working.

Hi, I’m just experiencing the same problem. Restarting the stream and machine had no effect. Server overload?

I’m trying to get some response from the agents for 3 hours now. Wonder what’s wrong. I suppose it they don’t work for everyone, there should be more incidents reported here.

Hey @user1008, I’m not running into the same issue on my side.

Maybe try a few simple checks:

  • Click Switch to Agent in the top panel.

  • Give it a very basic prompt, like:
    “Create a file called test.txt with the text hello”

  • Then see if the steps/edits panel shows up.

A few other things worth trying:

  • Try the same test in a completely new empty folder/project.

  • Use Developer > Reload Window, then test again.

If it still doesn’t work, these might help narrow it down:

  • In the chat menu (), copy the Request ID

  • Open Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console and see if there are any errors around edit/apply/file system

  • Go to Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics and check if anything fails

If there are errors, screenshots would probably help.

Hey, glad it’s working now. Sorry for the trouble.

If it happens again, please save the Request ID chat menu in the top right then Copy Request ID and a screenshot of the error if it shows up. Without that, it’s hard for us to figure out the cause on our side.

You can also check Cursor Settings then Network then Run Diagnostics. That helps rule out network issues.
