Describe the Bug

Since this morning, cursor Agents keep on looping and remain stuck on the first prompt. I was on the Auto initially, then changed to Grok thinking that it might get fixed. It worked for 2 prompts then basically, even Grok started showing the same behaviour.

Steps to Reproduce

Just prompt the Agent to do anything then ask it to do something else and it will re-execute the first prompt instead.

Expected Behavior

It should execute the prompt it’s given not keep on looping on the first one.

Windows 10/11

Hey, thanks for the report. It looks like this may be related to v2.0.69 - we are seeing several Agent issues reported today with this version.

To help with the investigation, could you share:

Request ID for the affected conversations:

• Click the chat context menu (top right) → Copy Request ID

Console errors:

• Go to Help → Toggle Developer Tools → Console
• Take a screenshot of any errors that appear when you submit a new prompt

Clarify reproduction:

• Does this happen in a new chat session, or only when continuing an existing conversation?
• You mentioned that the grok model behaved the same way, did this happen in the same chat session?
• What exactly prompts did you use (the first prompt that loops, and the second prompt that gets ignored)?

In the meantime you could try:

• Start a completely new chat session
• Restart Cursor
