The agents sidebar doesn’t close. CMD + Shift + S, Ctl + Shift + S don’t work, and there is no sidebar icon in the UI to click as described in other help tickets

Open cursor, try to close agents sidebar
Expected Behavior
there should be a command or ui element to close the agent sidebar
I did realize that CMD + E switches to something called “editor view” that solves my issue, but there was literally no visual cues as to how to do this, or by asking the Opus 4.5 AI how to close the menu or looking in help docs that I could find. I found the solution in another forum post
Hey, thanks for the report. You likely have the native macOS title bar enabled. The toggle button shouldn’t be there; it’s in the top-right of the workspace, under the native window controls.
You’ve already found the key shortcut: Cmd+E switches to Editor view. That’s the primary way to “close” the Agents sidebar.
Command E worked for me - there’s no Toggle at the top of the workspace for me when it’s in “Agent” layout. When in the Editor mode, I see the toggle, it looks like two arrows. But after switching, the two arrows only switch the side that it displays on - there’s no way to switch back to editor mode via UI
I had seen Cmd + Shift + S being suggested in this thread but Cmd + Opt + S seems to be the current shortcut for me to toggle the agent sidebar on MacOS
