Describe the Bug
Analytics Dashboard not updating with “Messages Sent” count.
The Agent edits and Tab Completions are being updated but not the messages sent.
I can go into the “Usage” screen and see the messages that were sent there, but they are not showing up in “Analytics” screen under “Messages Sent”
Also it appears that everyone on our Cursor leaderboard has “Favorite Model” assigned as favorite model instead of default, composer 2.5, etc.
Steps to Reproduce
Open an agent and send messages
Operating System
MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue
Thanks for the report. These are two separate display bugs on the Analytics Dashboard, and both are on our side.
Messages Sent showing 0: The Analytics dashboard and the Usage screen pull from different backend data sources. The data pipeline feeding the “Messages Sent” tile has a known issue that can cause it to show 0 even when your usage is being correctly tracked (which is why the Usage screen shows the right numbers). Your actual usage and billing are unaffected.
“Favorite Model” label on leaderboard: This is a related display issue where the model field shows placeholder text instead of actual model names. We’re aware of this and working on a fix.
I’m escalating both of these to our engineering team so they can investigate the data pipeline for your team. I’ll follow up here once there’s progress.
Thanks for your reply. As a note, it did come back after a few hours.
However, the “Messages Sent” count over those few hours was lost.
When functionality returned, the “Messages Sent” did not backfill with counts from the hours when it was not working.
The missing backfill is expected given the nature of this bug. The data pipeline that feeds the Analytics dashboard processes events in real time, and events that arrived during the outage window didn’t get counted correctly. Unfortunately, they won’t be retroactively added. Your usage data on the Usage page is unaffected since that reads from a different source.
I’ve added this detail to the engineering escalation so they have the full picture, including the intermittent pattern and the gap window.
Ok. Thank you for following up and providing more detail.
An update. It’s been out again today. I’ve been working since this morning and my messages sent count is still displayed as 0.
