Android APP All in One with VibeCoding

VibeCursor 2 — Cursor’s agent on Android, all-in-one: chat, build, live preview (unofficial)

TL;DR: VibeCursor is an unofficial Android client that runs the real Cursor agent (cursor-agent) locally on your phone inside a Linux system, with your own Cursor account. Chat on the left, live preview on the right. No desktop, no remote VM, no Termux to configure. Free, ad-supported.

Why “all-in-one”

Everything you need to vibe-code is inside one app — install it and start:

Piece What’s inside
Agent Real cursor-agent, persistent session (ACP) — it doesn’t restart between messages
Linux Debian arm64 rootfs with Node, git, python… runs via proot, no root needed
Files Project files, checkpoints, restore
Preview Local dev servers open right in the app, multiple ports as tabs
Git + MCP Commit / push from the phone, connect MCP servers
Publish One-tap public URL — coming soon

Two downloads: VibeCursor.apk — all-in-one (~157 MB), Linux system already embedded, works offline after install; or VibeCursor-lite.apk (~6 MB) that downloads the system on first launch. Same app.

Live preview (the part people ask about)

  • Start any dev server (vite, next dev, python -m http.server…) → tap :eye: and it opens inside the app.
  • Preview tabs: several ports at once (5173, 3000, 8080…). Closing the preview keeps your tabs for next time.
  • Tablet / landscape split: chat on the left, site on the right, live reload while the agent edits.
  • Preview is on-device, so it also works without a network.
  • Publish to a public URL is in the works — for now, push to your own GitHub/hosting with the built-in Git.

Full feature list

Agent

  • Persistent agent session — context and running tasks survive between messages
  • Plan / Ask / Run Everything modes
  • Slash commands: /plan, /ask, /agent, /usage, /mcp, /memory, /help…
  • Lite ↔ CLI view: light chat, or terminal-style feed with every tool call — one tap in the header
  • Live status line: mode · usage % · what it’s doing right now

Accounts & chats

  • Multi-account Cursor (API key or browser login) — switch without the login shuffle
  • Multi-chat per project — pin, switch, delete, history migrated
  • /usage and credits chip straight from your Cursor account

Project & safety

  • Checkpoints: snapshot before a refactor, restore from Files when something goes sideways
  • Persistent memory (MEMORY.md) — facts and preferences that survive new chats
  • Linux system backup: save your personal root (installed tools), restore it, or factory-reset the system — projects stay
  • Git: init / commit / push from the phone
  • MCP servers

App

  • OTA UI updates — the interface updates itself, no APK hunt for every tweak; the agent updates in-app too
  • App lock (optional password at launch)
  • Language: Automatic (follows the phone) + 25 languages; the agent answers in the language you pick
  • GDPR / UMP consent, privacy in Settings
  • Ads: muted banner only on setup/login screens, never in chat; one rewarded interstitial at open

Getting started (2 minutes)

  1. Grab VibeCursor.apk (all-in-one) or the lite one from the GitHub page (Google Play very soon).
  2. First launch: the Linux system unpacks (all-in-one) or downloads (lite).
  3. Sign in with Cursor → pick Plan, Ask or Run Everything → type “Build a landing page for my app”.
  4. Tap :eye: for the live preview.

Roadmap (short term)

  • Google Play release — very soon, with auto-updates
  • Publish: one-tap public URL for your project
  • Project archive / export, notes widget, model picker in the drawer

Honest notes

  • Unofficial. If Cursor changes the agent protocol, things can break until I update the agent (in-app update, not a new APK).
  • proot on a phone is slower than a laptop: fine for web projects, Node, Python, small builds; not for compiling big native stuff.
  • Needs arm64 Android 8+; ~1 GB free for the Linux system.

ADDED REMOTE CONTROL!!

● ## What’s new — VibeCursor 2 · UI

20260913.3

VibeCursor now has two modes:

  • **Local** (default, unchanged): the

agent runs inside the phone — the

all-in-one setup.

  • **Remote** (new): the phone becomes

a remote for Cursor on your computer

or a VPS. Your prompts go to a tiny

Node listener on the PC,

`cursor-agent` runs there with the

computer’s full power and your PC’s

projects, and the answer streams back

to the phone. You can cancel a running

prompt from the phone.

**Setup (about a minute)**

1. On the PC: `node

remote-listener.mjs` (script + guide

in the GitHub repo, `docs/REMOTE.md`).

Optional API key with `VIBE_RC_KEY`.

2. Reach it from the phone: USB with

`adb reverse tcp:8787 tcp:8787`, or an

HTTPS tunnel (cloudflared /

Tailscale).

3. In the app: **Remote** tab →

*Remote (PC / VPS)* → address → key →

*Test connection* → save..
