Annoying popup showing usage stats

Describe the Bug

A popup showing my period usage keeps popping up over the chat input window and can not be closed without clicking ‘You’ve used xx% of you overall usage limit’.

I shows up randomly while typing and randomly moving the mouse over the chat input area.

Escape key does not close the popup.
Click anywhere else in Cursor does not close the popup.

How can I disable this message?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use cursor.
  2. Try to type into chat
  3. switch to your browser
  4. Switch back to cursor
  5. Type into chat again
  6. Repeat until popup shows
  7. Try to close popup

Expected Behavior

I would expect the popup to stay closed until I ask for the info.
I would also expect it to close in a more intuitive fashion.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Please please please fix this Cursor team - it’s doing my head in. Constant interruption to the experience of using the product - seems to have only started in the last few days for me.

Thanks for your feedback – we’re working on improvements to the ux! In the meantime, you can change it to never show under Settings → Chat → Usage Summary.

I seriously doubt that this feature was tested before being rolled out to users. The UI design is completely illogical, placing it in a position that obstructs the chat. The cursor has already been surpassed by many other products.

It’s now been changed to open on click, and you can click anywhere outside it to close it.
