I can’t get rid of that Agents Sidebar in the last update! It’s hidden, but it keeps popping up upon hovering to the right side of the window. I have two screens, where Cursor is on the left (so, going from left to right goes to the other screen and pops up that very annoying window).
There is nothing on the window to control it. You can’t drag it, pin it, close it, or anything.
This is extremely annoying!!
Steps to Reproduce
Just open Cursor and disable the Agents Sidebar, then hover to its side.
Expected Behavior
Once hidden, it should remain hidden till being showed again. There should be nothing popping up upon hovering.
Operating System
Linux

Thanks for the quick reply. Here you can see that the window is visible (with the “New Agent” button) despite the “right dock” button above it being disabled. This is because I went with the mouse to the far right, so it popped from the right side (ignoring the fact that it should not be visible at all).
Pretty annoying behavior of the ‘Agents Side Bar’, indeed. It must have a way to disable this?
If what my friend above explained is not clear yet, I have recorded a video showing it: Screen Recording 2025-12-01.... See how this annoying agent side bar keeps appearing when I try to scroll down/up on the chat screen.
Please give us a light. Thanks for your attention on this!
I wish cursor team wouldn’t keep changing the GUI like this, it’s pretty arrogant to say “we know best” and just change everyones developer setup, new features? sure - but make it optional and dont turn it on by default, it’s sending the message “we dont care about your setup and we know best so just deal with it” which is a pretty crappy message to customers.
Cursor has come a long way since I started using it early 2025, it has become faster and cheaper at the same time in coding. But there is one particular interface feature that is absolutely driving me nuts!
It’s the way the side panel agent list nagivation window to the left that keeps getting triggered to open the second my mouse cursor even hover across it to get to another window in my screen, which let’s be honest as developers not only do we have to split the screen with other applications and folders, but extended monitors are a norm. Each time I swing and slide across the left side of Cursor, the damn side panel opens and covers up a good chunk of what I’m looking at. I tried to get used to it but if anyone is looking for something easy to fix, kindly relocate the hitbox for this panel somewhere else instead of lazily activating it for the entire left side of Cursor.
Steps to Reproduce
Moving your mouse across the left side of Cursor activates it to open and stay open until you slide over it again. It’s annoying!

We hear you. This has been a major topic of discussion internally, and we’re going to make the experience better! Not quite sure what that looks like yet, but we aren’t ignoring it.
