Description

The code sharing functionality between Cursor IDE and Claude AI (using Ctrl + Shift + L) has stopped working for approximately 2 months.

Expected Behavior

  • Claude should be able to see and reference code shared through Cursor IDE

  • Code snippets should be visible to Claude with proper formatting

  • When using Ctrl + Shift + L, code should be properly transmitted to Claude chat

Current Behavior

  • Claude cannot see code shared through the IDE

  • When attempting to share code via Ctrl + Shift + L, Claude responds that it cannot see the shared code

  • The code copying function is not working properly

Impact

  • Breaks the code assistance workflow

  • Makes it difficult to get precise code-related help from Claude

  • Users have to manually copy and paste code

Environment

  • Cursor IDE (latest version)

  • Claude AI integration

  • Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + L
