Bugbot not running on PRs from external collaborators

Hi

I have a question re: Bugbot behavior, not sure if I’m missing something.

Setup:

  • I have an individual Cursor account

  • I’ve connected Bugbot to a repo owned by a GitHub organization (which I own)

  • Bugbot runs correctly on PRs that I create

Issue:

  • Bugbot does not run when other developers create PRs to the same repo

  • These developers have access to the repo (directly added), but are not part of a GitHub team in the org

Question:

  • Is this expected behavior?

  • Does Bugbot only run for PRs created by users within the org/team that’s connected to Cursor?

Would appreciate any clarification, trying to understand if this is a config issue on my side or intended behavior

Thanks!

Hey there!

This is the expected behavior. A user must have a Bugbot license for Bugbot to run on their PRs.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply @Colin !

I just upgraded my account to a “Team” account (I am the only person on my Cursor Team)

Now will Bugbot review PRs created by other users within my Github org?

Each person opening PRs will still need to be a member of your team, with a Bugbot license!
