Cannot Login to Cursor via any means

Recently heard about cursor and installed it, but when I tried to sign up, it failed. So I started afresh by accessing the Cursor webpage directly: https://www.cursor.com/

I completed the sign up directly from the webpage, but immediately after signing up, couldn’t access the account. It just says “The site can’t be reached”. I tried to log in using an incognito browser, but I faced the same error.

Does this have anything to do with my being in Nigeria? Are there any IP restrictions for accessing Cursor from certain countries? If so, please include it somewhere that it would be visible. I searched everywhere but couldn’t find it anywhere except as an unconfirmed suspicion expressed by someone in this forum.

If there are no such restrictions, please help me understand what is going on. After attempting to log in (which always includes 2 “verify you are human” steps), the URL I am redirected to which shows that screenshot above is “https://cursor.com/api/auth/callback?code=01J2SA26AK9H8H3TEK4TYCFX22&state=%257B%2522returnTo%2522%253A%2522%252Fsettings%2522%257D” which when decoded is actually “https://cursor.com/api/auth/callback?code=01J2SA26AK9H8H3TEK4TYCFX22&state={“returnTo”:“/settings”}

Of course the actual value of the code parameter differs each time I attempt to log in. Please help.

Please don’t be offended about the mentions. I know it’s usually not cool to do.

However, do any of you have any insight regarding this? It is quite a serious challenge and I have been unsuccessful trying to resolve it any other way.

Are you able to visit cursor.com?

Yes I am. I am able to click login, enter my email, verify I’m human, and even enter my password. After that, the error page above is what is displayed.

I implemented a workaround though. I used a VPN to log in as if from the UK, and I was able to access my account. Once I turn off the VPN and refresh, I lose access.

please what vpn do you use?
