I’ve logged in like a 100 times now , but it does not reflect on the iDE, just keeps showing sign in!

Hey, this is a known issue: login works in the browser, but the callback never reaches the desktop app, so the IDE stays stuck on Sign In.

Most of the time you can fix it by changing one setting, especially on Windows:

  • Open settings: Ctrl+Shift+, or Cmd+Shift+,
  • Search for proxy support
  • Change Http: Proxy Support from override to on
  • Restart Cursor and try signing in again

If that doesn’t help, check:

  • VPN, proxy, Zscaler, or a corporate filter. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus and try again
  • cursor:// protocol handler. After you log in in the browser, do you see a prompt like Open cursor://…? If not, try running Cursor as admin once, then try logging in again
