Cannot type in Chat window for specific project

It does sound like a start-up issue and focus registration sounds pretty plausible to me.

Cursor new update: can't type in the chat window

I have same issue. It’s reproducible in my project. If I close Cursor with a second window open, exit and restart, the chat window won’t work, even if I close that second window. If I close Cursor with no second window and restart, it works even if I open second window again. So it depends on whether second window is open when Cursor is started.
