Hello,
I’ve searched a bit to try and resolve this but in my main project cursor just started not letting me type into the chat window to provide a prompt.
It does however let me type into composer.
On my own I did the obvious things, restart the app, computer, window. Reloaded the window with extensions disabled etc. Still blocked typing into the typearea.
Started researching and found some people had issues with regular copilot installed or copilot++ I dont even have those extensions and I tested with all extensions disabled.
Some people said open a new window. And I did this and it works! However, as soon as I open the same project it stops working again making me believe it’s something project specific.
I can see in the chat section that it saves my previous chats for the project folder so I’m guessing theres some sort of internal project cache. I couldn’t find where to clear this and if it was something stored in the folder itself.
So I duplicated the project folder in Windows and opened that in cursor. No issue with typing. So its for sure something with the project/cache etc.
I saw this thread but it magically resolved for them and they didn’t provide details.
@amanrs You were looking into that thread with the same issue. Please let me know if you’d like me to provide my log file or do a call as you suggested in the other thread.
For the moment, I will work within my cloned folder and update if it stops working
