Tryping is completely broken in the chat window
Thank you for the report! Does this always happen for you or after a certain set of actions? Trying to reproduce on our end
Update to the latest cursor version and then try to use the chat interface. I tried quitting rerunning etc. in the end I deleted the app and downloaded the app from the website again. I’m still being asked to update to the latest version. The version that has agents
Would love to hop on a call to debug this. Let me know if you’re free sometime today.
Do you have multiple windows of Cursor open?
Nope. But I’m happy to try to recreate the problem for you in the coming days.
I tried to recreate it but it’s gone now. thanks! you might be right about the window issue I’m not sure
I’m encountering this issue when using Cursor on Ubuntu. I did have multiple windows open when it first happened. Closing second window and relaunching Cursor caused the problem to go away. Still seems to work after re-opening second window… might have been related to having multiple open windows when the new version installed or something like that.
Yep this fixed it for me too. I had multiple windows open when I just installed the update. I closed everything and reopened it. It works now
Also experiencing this on the latest version. Usually work with terminals in a separate window, which seems to be related as Aaron pointed out. Closing that window before restarting cursor seems to have restored partial functionality to my chat.
I can now start and use new chats, but chats I created before this update are no longer usable. If the version added agents, perhaps there is some compatibility issue between the two versions.
same here , can’t type in the chat window,
please fix it,
for now as workaround , I use “open chat as editor”
