Can't switch privacy mode

Switching the privacy mode does not work. It just displays a message:

Failed to update privacy settings
Please try again. Request ID: {new request ID every time I try}

Switch privacy mode on Cursor Settings.

I don’t see that Request ID making it to our servers – is it still failing?

You can also try updating your Privacy Mode under https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=settings.

Doing it in the IDE still fails, but on the dashboard works. Thank you for the suggestion!

Thanks for following up! Can you confirm that the newly selected privacy mode is reflected in the IDE in your settings?

Confirmed, it reflected on the IDE.

Thanks! No obligation to continue debugging, but it would be great to see what goes in the Console and Network tabs of Cursor’s Dev Tools (Help → Toogle Developer Tools) when you try to change privacy mode.
