Describe the Bug

Change from “Privacy Mode” to “Privacy Mode with Storage”. It will try forever and time out

Steps to Reproduce

Cursor Settings → General → Privacy → Privacy Mode → Change from “Privacy Mode” to “Privacy Mode with Storage”. It will try forever and time out

Any updates on this issue? I still cannot update my privacy setting on web.

Having the same issue. I cant use the background agent feature because it wont update.

May you please confirm the Cursor version this is happening on?

It works on the desktop app but on the web you can’t change privacy mode

Thank you for the clarification, I confirmed it and forwarded to Cursor Team.

Cursor Team is working on a bugfix, @Richard_Prandini @jasgar @solodev @JerryBels @ariefrahmansyah in the meantime the privacy change works in Cursor app (Desktop). Go to Cursor Settings > Privacy on the first page.
