Chat History Lost & Not Saving

Has anyone else had an issue with chat history not saving or disappearing?

DETAILS
Since the latest update my history is lost every session. In other words, if I close a window, my chat history is gone. I checked the workspace and app support folders suggested in other chats but the files are not there. I have plenty of disk space / storage. I’m running it on a Mac (M3 apple silicon, Sequoia 15.6.1, Cursor Version: 1.7.54 VSCode Version: 1.99.3).

This string seems to describe what I am experiencing and several others reported similar without solution or explanation but it was locked so I’m asking under a new discussion to see if anyone found a solution other than:

  1. Opening different workspace (I am not and it happens with all workspaces)
  2. Free up storage (I have 100+ GB free)

I have a pro subscription but if I can’t figure this out, I’ll have to move to another solution.

I’ve also had this issue. I suppose for me it could be workspace related as the linked thread says. But I’ve been unable to get back to the workspace with the chats I’m looking for.

Having the same issue after update. It’s the second time this has happened that I’ve lost all my historical chats. It is highly annoying that this happens. Cursors helpdesk wasn’t highly effective the last time this happened
