CHAT Loading Infinitely and then Freezing often

Driving me bonkers:

This is my first weekend using Cursor seriously. When it works, it works extremely well, other times, like now, the chat/composer/AI functions just load infinitely after starting and then it eventually just gives up.

I’ve tried using my own API key and am still on default pro trial, same result. My assumption, something is going on with the part of the stack where my prompt is accepting and reformatted on the backend, but I can’t find anything about degraded service.

Please help, I’m going insane.

I’m paying for it and it’s being slow today. taking forever to apply, sometimes i’ll ask it something and it will just abort as if i didn’t ask it. the codebase is taking forever to sync. maybe a lot of us thought, “A day off? Who needs sun, we can code now!!”
