Chat UI Unusable

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Whatever happened in the new update has broken a lot of UI. It’s really inconsistent to open files that were edited by the model. before you could easily click on a file that the model edited. now it just will sometimes bug out and do nothing. The same thing happens with plans.
if you open a chat after a model responded, it gets like stuck with your prompt at the top, and there’s no model output. and then you can’t scroll up or anything. the only way to see the output/scroll up is to click on your prompt, wait for it to lag for a second or two, have it open the prompt area with keyboard focus, and then it takes you up like 3 messages and now you can scroll and see agent output…
it seems like that second bug mostly happens when the agent finished outputting something
really poor QA with this update :frowning:
I want to also add that when an agent finishes, the fact that it now just opens that chat with keyboard focus is really annoying. I will be typing a prompt into a new agent session or drafting something, and the agent finishes and hijacks my keyboard and focus.

Steps to Reproduce

it’s not super consistent, but it just happens when you like return to a chat, or get auto-taken to a chat because an agent finished.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

another example. at the start I’m scrolling and trying to see things.

in the meantime is there a way to easily revert my version or something??

Hi @MaCiNt0sHpLuS!

Sorry you’re hitting this. Can you try upgrading to v3.11 to see if the issue is resolved? You can find it on the downloads page if you aren’t auto-updated, which is also where you can find older versions if you need to downgrade.
