I previously submitted feedback concerning Cursor’s Chinese interface translation and localization, but I have received no substantive acknowledgment, responsible-team identification, status, or outcome.
When users invest time in reporting localization quality issues, silence makes it impossible to know whether the report was received, rejected, merged, assigned, or planned. This weakens trust in the feedback process and discourages users from reporting future product-quality problems.
Cursor should provide a visible and accountable workflow for localization feedback:
Confirm that a report was received.
Identify whether it was accepted, rejected, merged, or requires more information.
Show the responsible product or localization team.
Provide a trackable status and an estimated response window.
Notify the reporter when the issue is resolved or when no change will be made.
This is a product-feedback request, separate from any private account-specific support issue. All account identifiers and private details have intentionally been omitted. Please confirm whether Cursor has an existing localization-feedback workflow and, if not, whether this proposal can be assigned to the appropriate product owner.
Follow-up: this request still has no acknowledgment or visible owner. I am not asking for an immediate translation rollout; I am asking Cursor to confirm whether localization reports enter any accountable product workflow at all.
A useful response would state whether this proposal has been received, which team owns localization feedback, whether the request is accepted, merged, declined, or awaiting more information, and what status users can expect to see next.
The absence of even a basic intake status is precisely the product-feedback gap described in the original post. No private account details or support-ticket identifiers are included here.
As of August 11, more than 24 hours after the last follow-up, this localization thread still has no staff or official acknowledgement. Could a Cursor team member please confirm who owns Chinese interface localization feedback and provide a trackable status or public issue reference? A brief acknowledgement and a clear next-update point would help keep this feedback traceable.
Hey, thanks for laying it out in detail. I’ll answer your question about the process directly.
The main channel for product and localization feedback is the Feature Requests category here on the forum. The team reads those threads, and votes plus community activity help signal what to prioritize. We don’t currently have a public tracker where each report shows an assigned owner, an accept or reject or merge status, and a fixed response window. So to be transparent, the intake status format you described doesn’t exist yet. I shared your request for that kind of transparency with the team as feedback.
On UI localization, this is a commonly requested topic, and there are already quite a few threads for different languages. So your voice doesn’t get lost, the best move is to add to the main Chinese thread, since that’s where the core signal is: Add support for Chinese. There’s also a newer thread specifically about native UI localization: Feature Request: Native Simplified Chinese UI Localization.
I can’t promise a timeline or a specific rollout, but your report is recorded and isn’t going into a void. If there’s an update on localization, it’ll be posted in those threads.
