Hi, I have been working on a project in Cursor for a week now, and yestreday I encountered an issue where the Composer has stopped editing and generating files. I am a Pro user and updated the app to the latest version yesterday. Below are the details of the problem and the steps I have already taken to try and resolve it:
Issue Description:
The Composer was previously working fine, but it has now stopped editing and generating files in the project. I’ve ensured that I am working with the correct project files, but it seems like the Composer has lost access to them.
Steps I’ve Taken to Troubleshoot:
- Opened the Correct Project Folder: I verified that the correct project folder is open in Cursor, and I can see all the files in the File Explorer.
- Checked File System Permissions: I ensured that all necessary read/write permissions are set correctly for the project files.
- Restarted Cursor and Reopened the Project: I closed and reopened Cursor, as well as the project, to ensure everything was refreshed properly.
- Refreshed the Composer: I tried restarting and re-enabling the Composer to see if it would reconnect to the project files.
- Checked for File Locks and Version Control Conflicts: I confirmed that no other applications are locking the files, and there are no unresolved version control conflicts (e.g., with Git).
- Ensured the Correct File Locations: I made sure the project files have not been moved or renamed and are in their correct locations.
Despite following these steps, the Composer still appears to be disconnected from the project files and cannot generate or edit them. The only thing I did was updating to a later version as it popped up today.
