"Connection failed" Error Interrupting Workflow – Requests Wasted in Cursor Pro

I’m frequently getting this error during my workflow:

“Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN.”

Even when I click “Try again”, the workflow doesn’t resume. This has caused serious disruptions in my work. Just today, I lost about 25–30 requests due to this error. This is a major loss.

My internet and VPN are working perfectly, so the issue seems to be on the Cursor side. Please look into this and let me know if the lost requests can be refunded or if there’s a fix to avoid this in the future.

Hey, which model are you using? Also, have you tried creating a new chat?

I tried switching several Claude models they included Sonnet 3.5, 3.7,3.7 thinking on the latest version of cursor ie 0.50

I tried everything I could think of:
Restarted the Cursor and my PC.
Logged out and then logged in.
Created a new chat.
Connected to a different wifi network other than my usual one.
Tried pressing Try again but nothing happened.

Try reinstalling Cursor by following this guide:

The same happens here. I didn’t use any VPN, just Sonnet 3.7. The connection failed after 10-20 requests.

It seems that Anthropic had some downtime, which may have had an effect here!
