Hey there,
I am part of an organization that received a credit grant for Cursor, it’s great and we would love to be able to use it more. However, it’s pretty much impossible to track our usage and how many credits individual developers are using, all request we make are marked as free. We reached out to Cursor support (who were very helpful and responsive luckily) and they said:
“The credit grant absorbs all your usage before it hits the on-demand billing threshold, which is why every session shows as “Free” and on-demand shows $0. The usage isn’t actually free; it’s being covered by your credit balance.”
Additionally, the customer support rep mentioned:
“the dashboard doesn’t currently break down per-session costs when a credit grant is active.”
This is functionally preventing us from using Cursor as much as we would like to because we don’t have great guardrails or visibility on usage. A workaround we could technically do is export individual runs and approximate spend based on the pricing page but this is an extremely cumbersome task.
We really want to be able to use Cursor more and deeply integrate it into our work, having better visibility over usage and spend when we have a credit grant would be extremely beneficial.
