Cursor 2.3 is here!

I do not understand how come some people on stable train have 2.3 but some on early access are stuck with 2.2

Hey everyone!

Our release process has generally required a version to reach 100% of auto-update users before it’s marked as “golden” and becomes available for download on cursor.com.

We’re working to speed up download availability (not the rollout itself).

Hope to have it up really soon.

wsl extension broken btw, hash mismatch, i made post about it in regards to nighly couple months back: Wsl extension not working in nightly
edit: this has been fixed since, but it would be nice if it did not happen in the future I had to switch update tracks many times in the past because of this

If you really want to try 2.3, try switching to Nightly instead of Early Access in the beta section, then check for updates. Do this at your own discretion.

We can use this link for early access https://api2.cursor.sh/updates/download/golden/darwin-arm64/cursor/2.3

Feels a bit more stable.

But I combo with Claude Code extension + Cursor IDE now since I’m wary of the agent terminal from Cursor breaking from now on.

In the future, it would be best to ensure for QA purposes that terminal never breaks when performing feature updates. I think there’s some important lessons to learn with the 2.XX rollouts within these past couple of months

Can the feature configuration of version 1.7 be restored? Don’t you think loading chat logs is slow every time you open them

When are the rest of us going to see it? I am using the Ubuntu app Repository, and it is still not there!

Hey all.

It’s now available from Download · Cursor, and still rolling out via automatic updates!

@vzaliva Let me know if you’re not seeing it where you’re looking (and send a link, if you can) and I’ll follow-up

Looking forward to the stability updates. Keep it up Cursor team!

there must be a bug somewhere with usage. Since the update somehow I’ve been seeing “usage limit” messages and now after only 5 days of usage I hit some arbitrary limit that was never there before and now I cannot use Cursor unless I upgrade to a higher account tier. I never received any notifications to changes to my account services that I have been paying for 2 years. Maybe its time to start exploring alternatives.
