Cursor Agent on Linear Selecting wrong model

Running into an issue where attempting to run a cursor agent from linear results in this error:

The selected model “gpt-5-high” is not available for your account.

Try different models →

However, I have the default model set to Opus 4.5.

Anyone have any idea?

Steps to Reproduce

Attempt to use Cursor Agent in Linear App, assign cursor agent from ticket

Expected Behavior

Selects default model on cursor dashboard.

From the error, it looks like the system is trying to use the gpt-5-high model instead of your default setting (Opus 4.5). Can you help clarify a few details?

  • Can you share a screenshot of your settings from Dashboard > Cloud Agents in the Default Model section?
  • In your Linear issue, are there any labels or any text like [model=gpt-5-high] in the description or comments? That syntax overrides the default model.
  • Can you find the agent Request ID? In Cloud Agents, click the three dots and copy the request ID.

This looks like a bug with model selection in the Linear integration. The team worked on a similar issue, but it might have regressed.
