Cursor chat not responding or extremely slow

Describe the Bug

My chat get loading infinitely or responding took really long time. It spinning for hours.
Tried:

  • close cursor completely
  • switch network
  • reset the machine
  • downgrade cursor
  • log out the account
  • re install cursor
  • update os
  • switch to http 1.1 or 1.0

But nothing works. This won’t happen on my other machine running windows which also using the same account
I tried running network diagnosed, weird that even I switched to http1.1, the http2 proxy error still show up.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Randomly got it when using Cursor. Before that, the only thing I can remember is that my credit card is locked so I add another one to proceed the billing, then detached it

Expected Behavior

  • Should response normaly

Hey, thanks for the report. Could you clarify if you have a VPN or a configured proxy server on this computer? Also, try adding Cloudflare DNS in your network’s system settings. Add the address 8.8.8.8.


Tried, but dns, http2 and ssl in network diagnostics keep spinning indefinately. I even try reset machine id.


Yeah, I tried, both combined and doing them separately. Things even get worse to chat and agent status.

I once got this but fixed by reseting my machine id. But now, it can not be fixed

What version of Cursor do you have installed? Have you also tried using a VPN? Try completely reinstalling Cursor, it might help.

I installed the latest version, tried vpn, reinstalled many times….
