Cursor Connection Failed Issue with Chat and Composer (Paid User)

Dear Cursor Support Team,

I am writing to report a persistent issue I am experiencing with the Chat and Composer features in Cursor. Both features consistently display a “Connection Failed” error, preventing me from utilizing them.

I have verified that my internet connection is stable and functioning correctly. Interestingly, the Agent mode within Composer works without any connection problems. This leads me to believe the issue is specific to the Chat and Composer functionalities.

Here are some additional details:

  • Cursor Version: I am currently using the latest version of Cursor.
  • Subscription: I am a paid user with an active subscription.
  • Model Compatibility: The models I am attempting to use are all supported and available for use.

Could you please investigate the cause of this connection failure and provide a solution? I rely heavily on Cursor for my work, and this issue is significantly impacting my productivity.

This is happening to me often with version 0.45.10. There are a host of issues with this version that I hope get addressed sooner than later.

same with me, software version is 0.45.11, completely unusable
