Ever since you included GPT 5, cursor gets in a loop where it repeats itself over and over until I stop it. If I ask a new question, it happens again.
Creating a new chat helps for about 30 minutes.
Keep asking it to fix bugs until it happens.
Before GPT 5, this never happened.

I think that’s correct. I started a new chat with only Claude selected and I can’t get it to get into the repeat loop again.
This chat was ~10.5 hours ago correct? I think that request ID might not be the right one, it ends with assistant message “Please test the page now and let me know if both the[…] are working.” which seems to indicate that the chat finished normally?
That is the chat. I stopped it in that repeat loop. if you look back, there are many repeat loops.
I was able to ask it a question after that. But it’s code suggestions were actually more harm than good at that point.
I’ve been using cursor while forcing just Claude and cannot get it to get stuck like this. Seems like a GPT-5 thing.
Ah got it thanks, I found the loop in our logs. Yes this appears to be a GPT-5 issue, I’ll flag with the OpenAI team and add some metrics to try to track how commonly this happens.

this happens to me every few days
Disabling GPT-5 made it completely stop for me. I would happen to me every few hours with GPT-5. With just Claude, it never happens for me.
