Cursor IDE Freezes with False “Internet Connection” Errors and Unreliable

Cursor is freezing frequently and throwing “Internet connection” errors unnecessarily—even though there’s no network issue. Afterwards, when I type “Continue prompt,” it behaves inconsistently. I’ve attached screenshots.

Does this happen in a new chat? That Connected failed has been happening since the dawn of the dinosaurs of cursor, dont know why they’ve not fixed that.

We found that mostly it depends on VPN, internet connection, internet provider handling of HTTP 2 requests, firewalls and similar.

@kargalar Please check Settings > Network > Run Diagnostic and report any errors shown there.

Alternatively you could try to change there the setting from HTTP/2.0 to HTTP/1.1 and check if it improves.

The error persists. After two prompts, it freezes or displays the error in the image, causing me financial loss. The error has been ongoing for two weeks. I formatted my PC, but it didn’t fix it.

no problem

Please check in Cursor Settings > Network > Run DIagnostics

Are you using any MCPs or Custom API Keys?

no use

I don’t use

It happens in all chats, I clear the cache and it still doesn’t fix it. It’s been like this for 2 weeks.

Please find a solution. I am paying unnecessary money. I am using cloud 4.1 opus max.

hi @kargalar it’s not a widespread issue so further checks on your machine will be necessary to find what is causing it.

Which Cursor version are you using?

Have you tried switching in Cursor Settings > Network from HTTP/2.0 to HTTP/1.1?

I am using the current version . HTTP/2 I USE I also added the image of the new question.

Could you please try specifically what I requested? Please let me know if something is not clear.

I tried all the methods but it didn’t work. You can connect remotely.

We can not connect remotely to user machines.

Could you be more specific what you tried? Without clear feedback and list of steps you tried or relevant screenshot I can not verify what you tried.
