Describe the Bug
When using Cursor IDE, the chat panel displays “Summarizing chat context” and appears stuck for a significant amount of time after initiating certain actions (such as opening a menu or setting a default option). After a long delay, the AI does eventually respond. However, during the delay:
There is no progress indicator to show that work is ongoing.
There is no recommendation to open a new chat or retry the operation.
This behavior is confusing, as it seems like the app is frozen or not working until the delayed response arrives.
Steps to Reproduce
Open Cursor IDE.
Use an integration (e.g., “Set default option in menu” with PDXtract CLI – Paradox Game Save Extractor).
Observe the chat panel get stuck on “Summarizing chat context” with no feedback or suggestion.
Wait. After a long delay, a response does appear, but with no indication that progress was occurring during the wait.
Expected Behavior
A progress bar, spinner, or some sort of visual indicator should show ongoing work.
There should be a suggestion/recommendation to retry or open a new chat if stuck.
