Hello, Cursor has been very slow lately, even though I’ve been using my own Gemini API for a while now. This wasn’t a problem before—it used to be very fast. It especially slows down a lot when using tools. After reading a file, it takes a very long time to respond, sometimes even freezes and just stays like that. I don’t know what changes were made in the background, but the current state is really bad.

Hi @fanyqe thank you for reporting the issue. It does take a while to get to all posts. I saw on other threads that the Cursor team is looking into API usage.
Could you please confirm the same is happening also ona new chat after restarting Cursor, without files attached? It would help the Cursor team narrow down causes.

Ok, appreciate the follow up and helping to figure out the cause. This is unusual and a bit harder to check.
Could you run one request with privacy disabled so the Cursor Team can check further, and post here the request ID? After that you can turn on privacy again.
