Hey, thanks for the report. On our side everything looks fine. status.cursor.com is green, and our logs show requests from your account were going through at that time. So the “reconnecting” is most likely caused by your local network, a VPN, or a corporate proxy that drops long-lived connections.
What to try:
- Open Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics. It should show where the connection breaks.
- In the same place, switch HTTP Compatibility Mode to HTTP/1.1, or enable Disable HTTP/2 in App Settings via
Cmd+,and search for HTTP/2. This often fixes reconnect loops behind a proxy or VPN. - If you’re on a VPN or corporate network, try without it.
If it still doesn’t help, please share a few details so we can dig deeper:
- Your Cursor version About Cursor > Copy
- A screenshot with the exact “reconnecting” message text
- Whether you’re using a VPN or proxy
Let me know how it goes.
