Reconnecting error

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Ever since I upgraded to a ‘new’ version, it keeps constantly “reconnecting.”
It has become practically unusable.
I simply can’t stand it anymore.
I’m planning to give up on Cursor and switch to Codex.

Does this stop you from using Cursor?

  • Yes - Cursor is unusable
  • Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor
  • No - Cursor works, but with this issue

The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Thanks!

Hey, to look into the reconnecting issue, I’ll need a few details:

  1. Your Cursor version. Go to Menu > About Cursor > Copy
  2. Your OS Windows, Mac, or Linux
  3. Are you using a VPN, proxy, or Remote SSH?

In the meantime, try these:

  • Disable HTTP/2: Cmd+, or Ctrl+,, search HTTP/2, turn on Disable HTTP/2, then restart Cursor
  • Run Network Diagnostics: Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics, then share a screenshot of the results
  • Test on a mobile hotspot: connect your PC to your phone’s mobile data and see if the reconnecting stops. This helps confirm if it’s network-related

Let me know how it goes.
