After I upgraded Cursor to the latest version (Version: 3.0.13 Universal) yesterday, I asked Cursor to help me solve a problem. However, after answering a few sentences, it would show “Reconnecting,” then answer a few more sentences, and then show “Reconnecting” again — this kept repeating. Later, I checked my backend and realized that it hadn’t actually solved my problem, but it had been consuming my usage quota the whole time.

Hey, this is a known issue with connection stalls where the response stream gets interrupted and shows “Reconnecting”. The team is aware. Let’s try a few things:
Close the current chat and start a new one. Don’t continue in the same threads where the disconnects happened.
Fully restart Cursor. Quit it and reopen it, not just closing the tab.
Try disabling HTTP/2: App Settings Cmd+, then search for HTTP/2, enable “Disable HTTP/2”, then restart Cursor. This helps a lot if you’re using a VPN or proxy.
A couple questions:
Are you using a VPN or proxy?
Can you share the output from Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics?
And the Request ID from the affected chat (chat menu in the top right > Copy Request ID)
