Cursor removing Itself?

Just happened to me… I’ve literally never had this happen for any program/app, ever.

Windows 11. No updates that I’m aware of. Wasn’t open when I shutdown. Closed Cursor yesterday morning, shut down computer, booted last night, didn’t run Cursor, shutdown, booted this morning…gone!

Absolutely nothing from/for Cursor exists except the original download package (from the cursor site Jun 8). VSCode now opens my files.

I managed to solve it after realizing it was a shortcut issue on Windows (10/11).
I replaced my cursor shortcut with the executor on this folder:
C:\Users<your-user>\AppData\Local\Programs\cursor\Cursor.exe
