Cursor won't take my money

I have paid Cursor for quite some months.

This month, Cursor is blocked and it is in blacklist for my Italian bank also.
I just solved be on the phone with a bank operator that opened a 5 minutes windows to make the payment.
Already spoke with Cursor to solve their rating problem with Stripe…

Same issue for me (from Italy). I asked [email protected] and they replyed:

Since some Italian cards can have issues with Stripe, try these alternatives:

  • Use Apple Pay or Google Pay if available
  • Try a different card
  • Wait 24 hours and try again

No wonder none of them worker… I didn’t try Google Pay, but I think the problem is related to the cards and Google Pay or Apple Pay cannot help here.

I finally solved the issue using a German card, but I don’t consider this a workaround since many people do not have this option.

Please @Cursor do invest some time to fix this silly issue. Thanks!

Please @cursor, you guys solved many complicated technical issues in developing your editor, it is unconscionable for you not to solve this one. Add PayPal support, add more payment options, do something about it.

Same thing happened to me. I’m currently subscribed to Cursor Pro and have had successful payments for 2 months now using a Mastercard in the Philippines. A few days ago, I received a notification in Cursor saying that my payment failed. I tried other cards as well (mastercard and visa), and still failed. Tried to contact and sent them an email ([email protected] and [email protected]) but still no response.

Happened to me to day as well, been paying for 6 months already on Cursor Pro and suddenly all payment methods not working for me here in the Philippines.

Could you email me [email protected]? I will look into it. Also include [email protected]

Hi Andrew, appreciate the help. I sent the email.

I was having the same problem. An Austrian MasterCard Business got rejected every time after the SecureCode prompt has been confirmed, however, a Hungarian private MasterCard got through. Limits, etc. are all fine - I am using the MasterCard Business at lots of other places.

This is very unfortunate, since the card which I had to resort to using does not belong to my business.

I have the same problem as well. I messaged them using the [email protected] but the replies are not really helpful… They say they will transfer me to a teammate but after one day no one replied…

I came here to see if there are any others experiencing the same problem and I found this issue and I cant believe it’s already a one month old problem that they don’t have a solution for yet

Hey, I’ve sent you a private message.

Same, 5 months for me. Suddenly I see a warning saying there is a problem with billing. I checked it out and my card is declined. I tried with another card, no luck. I will try again after 24 hours, hoping it was just me trying multiple times.

Hey everyone,

Same issue here.
Austrian debit card(traveling in the Netherlands atm).
Worked to recently sub to chatGPT, but for some reason Cursor/Stripe won’t accept the card.
ONE of my many attempts yesterday almost got through, but then didn’t charge anyway.
The rest seem to get declined at a different stage.
Already spoke to my bank, and even issued an extra permission for your company. (just in case).
Is there something you can do at cursor/stripe?
I would rly love to keep using your services. And is there any way you can allow me to keep working while you figure this out? Like activate the 14-day trial for me in the meanwhile?

Cheers

Cursor AI blacklisted in UAE by Emirates Islamic Bank starting June2025. Too many complaints received.
Had a long exchange with Ralph of customer support, I found for them the contact of the Bank to fix the issue but they say it is beyond their control. The bank said was open for discussion.
Their last message is that I have to find another payment method (LOL because their offered ones are ALL using credit card that ultimately the bank voids as the merchant is blacklisted).

Paypal would disintermediate the payments from the bank, but also has a robust complaints system, and I suspect Cursor is not prepared for that.

I read more and more customers with this same issue and no real solution provided by the merchant, always asking us users to “find another payment method”, but hey! You are being blacklisted in too many places!

Was I too rude? Well, I did expect you to contact the bank and provide us proof that there wasn’t an easy or applicable solution, instead I got a simple “out of our control” answer.

Simone

I just wanted to give an update on my personal situation.
And make a positive remark(since it’s all complaints in this thread ofc)
I did get an email response, a dev tried something and it worked.
My problem has been resolved, and I am currently working with cursor again (14day trial period) expecting to get charged soon once that has passed.
So I hope and fully expect that to work from now on.

same issue with the “credit” card which is actually debit. Guys do you know any other paid IDE with AI which actually works? Copilot good enough?

Hey, I’ve sent you a DM.

broski, pede magpa help abt sa ginawa m na yan and working pa rin ba sya now?

My credit card has also been denied payment. I was able to subscribe to the service normally last month, but when I tried to upgrade, my bank card kept getting rejected. Is there any way to resolve this issue? I contacted [email protected], but they didn’t help me. Does anyone have a better solution?

Still here waiting for a solution

Same for me. I’ve been paying since December 2024 and suddenly my credit card provider Solaris SE flagged Cursor as potentially fraudulent and won’t/can’t process my payment despite my support request to them (Solaris). Bank payments to Cursor only work for US bank accounts. I would love to pay through other payment providers, like PayPal. I don’t want to get a new credit card, just for using Cursor and potentially having the same issue.
