I am creating custom modes as I just found the feature, criticisms:

  • the UI to add custom modes is the most ■■■■■■■■ awful thing I have ever seen. This would have better been added to the cursor settings
  • apparently there is a cap on 8 modes, why a cap at all? let me add as many modes as I want! there are already 3 modes by default that means I can only add 5 custom modes… XD lol
  • " We’re considering adding a .cursor/modes.json file" yeah indeed you should

Agreed, the limit on custom modes is quite frustrating. It’s blocking my workflow now sigh
